Kgolagano, the managing director of SKM has been an entrepreneur for more than 12 years. He has managed business ventures in coal production and marketing, shipping & logistics (energy & mineral products). He holds a BBusSci Economics (Hons) UCT [Import and Export Management (Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce)], and a Foundation Diploma in Port Agency (Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, UK). His focus is now on strategy & management of SKM, and on delivering on the company’s vision.

Zakhele is a seasoned mining engineer, with extensive experience, having managed operations in high pressure production environments at Anglo American, Glencore coal operations, South32 and UMK (NC). His focus is on managing the production, safety and engineering teams who look after people and fleet of equipment the Company has deployed at PPM.

Mamphiwa is a seasoned financial manager with 5 years of SAICA articles and 15 years of working experience in Finance and operations. She has worked in the motor, insurance, media and governance industries. She is responsible for monitoring and controlling the company’s performance and finances in accordance with the budget. She also looks after I.T systems and works closely with Zakhele on production management and reporting.

Abbey is a seasoned human resources manager; he has supervised and managed personnel in min- ing and mining related companies for over 15 years. Abbey is responsible for ensuring that all staff are effectively employed, adequately trained and measured to perform their responsibilities and operation- al tasks in an ethical and responsible manner.

Other key management roles include, a Safety Officer, Engineering Supervisor and Senior Mechanics. The Company also makes use of specialist service providers and consultants to assist with any opera- tional challenges that may arise, by applying their extensive experience in open pit mining operations.
