Kgolagano "Khuli" Matshego
Managing Director
With 14 years of entrepreneurial experience, Khuli has established multiple ventures across various sectors, including coal production, rough diamond trading, marketing, and shipping and logistics for energy and mineral products. He holds an Honours degree in Business Science Economics from UCT, a diploma in Import and Export Management from the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce, and a Foundation Diploma in Port Agency from the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers in the UK. Khuli is tasked with the strategic direction and management of SKM, driving the company towards its vision.
Jacques "JJ" Joubert
Operations Manager
With more than ten years of experience in production management in the mining industry, JJ specializes in surface and open-cast mining. He is adept at leading teams and has a thorough understanding of disciplinary codes. JJ has completed a management leadership development course at Wits University and is knowledgeable about the regulations of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE). Prior to joining SKM, he worked as the Production Manager and acting Mine Manager at Tharisa Minerals. His experience includes mining chrome, platinum, nickel, and limestone, and he is responsible for both production and engineering activities. He oversees both production and engineering operations.
Kgabo Setati
Finance Manager
Kgabo holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Venda. She brings extensive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong track record in producing both standard and customized reports, as well as conducting pro forma analyses for planning units. A full member of SAIPA, Kgabo is qualified to formulate financial policies and uncovering opportunities for cost reduction.
Abram "Abbey" Mosela
HR Manager
Abbey is a seasoned human resources manager with over 15 years of experience in managing personnel within the mining and mining related sectors. His role involves ensuring that all employees are effectively utilised, adequately trained, and that their performance is regularly assessed. Additionally, he is responsible for aligning the company’s vision with a meaningful incorporation of our core values across all operational areas.
